Sneaking Up On 1000
As I write this I have 931 subscribers on YouTube. It’s quite amazing to me that nearly 1000 people have watched a video of mine and found it useful or entertaining enough to click that button that says they would like to see more. From the beginning I have struggled with what content would make a good video. As more people subscribe to my channel I can’t help but feel a growing sense of responsibility to produce better and better videos. I have invested in better lighting, which was a suggestion from a friend of mine, in hopes of upgrading my production value. I also am trying to be more aware of how each shot looks as far as background and framing. I think I’m getting better. At least I hope I am.
I still struggle greatly with motivation and honestly, I don’t really enjoy the process of filming and editing videos. I really would rather just do my projects without the camera and lights. Setting up shots can get tedious and really slows a project down. But after it’s all said and done, it is fun to see the finished videos get posted. And I really like hearing from people who learned something or found a video interesting. That is the best part by far. So, I guess, in the end, it’s worth it.
So I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported this effort. I really do appreciate it. Looking forward to 1000.
